7 Weeks . . .

Wow, our little man is 7 weeks old! He is starting to make new sounds (other than the normal crys, grunts, burps and farts) and is able to lock his eyes on objects in front of him. Of course the best is when he smiles so bright and when he coos after he sneezes :).

We are getting better organized throughout the day and I'm getting lots better at reading his "language" before he gets totally upset with me. This helps us have more happy awake time and we are just starting to play with some of his toys.

The afternoons and evenings are the hardest part of each day as he typically gets really fussy around 3pm and then consistently has a huge meltdown with lots of controlable screaming around 5pm, just in time to welcome daddy home :). We are learning that he LOVES bath time and it can usually calm him enough so that we can get him ready and into bed at night. He is still doing great at night and will usually sleep for 5-7 hours straight then will wake up every few hours from there but only to eat, grunt and fart/poop :) then it is back to sleep until it is time to get up and play in the morning (around 7am) with Daddy before he has to go to work. We then go for a nice long walk/jog while it is still cool outside and he usually falls asleep in the BOB.

Ahh, the life of a baby!

Case, Nona Corinne and I are headed to Oregon to visit our family for a week and a half so we will have more pictures to share when we return.

Happy Baby!
