Summer Series - July 2010

For the past 29 summers of my life we have camped at Lake Almanor for the Fourth of July and this year was no different except that we got to share it with Case (if his birthday was 2 days earlier we would have gotten to share it with him last year too!!!)

Us Cleaveland girls really know how to pick quality men! :)

Ryan and Case trying to not to freeze at breakfast! We tried to convince Case that we were on vacation and that he should sleep past 6:30am but he thought otherwise.

Case not able to walk yet but willing to make a beeline for the lake if only Nona would let go!

Chester 4th of July Parade! One of my favorite pictures: Case wearing his "Home of the Brave, Land of the Free" sleeveless onesie, candy in both hands, food net hanging from his lips, shades, hat and a look that says, "Want some, get some, bad enough take some!"

July 7th, 2010 - Case turns 1
Happy Birthday Son, we love you!

First real taste of the goods (chocolate and sugar). Yum Yum.

We had a small birthday celebration the weekend after Lake Almanor and the weekend before Katie's wedding. It was so nice having family and friends come to visit from far away :)

Case received many wonderful birthday presents that he really loves, however, he has a thing for clothes so when he got into the huge bag of hand-me-downs from Bobby he was in heaven throwing them all around. What cheap entertainment :)

Instead of baby baptisms our church does baby Dedications where they presented Case to the church and dedicated Ryan and I and Case's family and friends to raise him up knowing Christ. He did good through the short dedication - no crying, barfing or farting :)

Katie and Bo's rehearsal dinner.
Got all the girls together: moms, sisters, nieces and close girlfriends. What a group!

Morning of the wedding, rockin the do's.

My dad used to be grossly out numbered 1 to 5 by girls but now the tides are changing and he is getting more guys on his side! (now it's 4 to 5, if you include Case!)

Beautiful bride and all her fair maidens.

Please note Case only has socks on :) I tried and tried but it was impossible to get the cute little black dress shoes on his fat stubby feet! Good thing he wasn't walking yet.

HoHo and DingDong wedding cake made by their friend Kelly, which was her first time doing anything like it!

Another favorite camping spot is Feather River which Case went to last year when he was only 2 weeks old! This year was a lot of fun and it was hard to remember what he was like when he was that young ;(

(Thank you Grant for the blue silkie blanket, it is Case's favorite and he sleeps with it every night!)

1 year and 2 weeks - Case is learning to walk (on very uneven ground)!

Case loves water and apparently the muddier the better.

my little camping buddy
