Ryan was gone for 4 days for work and Andy's Bachelor Weekend (houseboat trip) and Case missed him dearly. So, in order to fend off the repeated question of, "Daddy go?" I pulled out his photo album so he could see Daddy's picture.
I couldn't count the number of times that I found him "playing with" Daddy, the picture right by his side. The best was when he would get excited and put the photo on the ground and jump for Dad :)

In an effort to distract him from Dad's absence at home I took Case up to the Kings River to check out my old stomping grounds from the days I was a whitewater river guide :). I didn't realize that it had been 2 years since I had last been up there but it was great to visit with Case and to see familiar faces (and lots of new ones!).
Case can't resist water and insisted that he put his feet in but he didn't last long (hence the face) because the water was fast and COLD, straight snow melt from the Sierras.
